# KlassApp for platform admins

## KlassApp for platform admins

You look after every school on this KlassApp instance. You do not run one school's day-to-day classes.

### Where you land

Sign in at the KlassApp login page. You open the platform dashboard.

### Menu

The side menu, in order:

* **Dashboard**
* **Schools**
* **Subscriptions**
* **Plans**
* **Reports**
* **Mail List**
* **Settings**

### Common tasks

* **Schools** lists the schools on this instance. Open a school to see its record and its users.
* **Subscriptions** and **Plans** are the plan catalogue and which school is on which plan.
* **Reports** is the platform report list, including contact and demo requests.
* **Mail List** is the mailing-list subscribers.
* **Settings** holds platform settings, including co-admins, features, and locations.

Early-access requests are not in that side menu. Open `/platform/early-access` while signed in as a platform admin. The table has an **Invite** column. Choose Invite to email **Set up your school**. Later buttons on that row are Resend and Revoke. Anyone who is not a platform admin gets an error on that page.

### What you do not see

You do not get the school menu (**Students**, **Fees**, **WhatsApp**, and the rest). A school admin does that work inside one school. See [School admin](https://github.com/KlassApp-Foundation/KlassApp/tree/main/help/admins/README.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://klassdocs.gitbook.io/klassapp-documentation/docs-site/help/platform/index.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
