# KlassApp for head teachers

## KlassApp for head teachers

You are the deputy admin for one school. You use the school admin menu, with two rows hidden.

The account card may say **School admin** unless a job title is saved on the profile. The difference is the menu, not that label.

### Where you land

Sign in at the KlassApp login page. You open your dashboard, then the same school pages a school admin uses for day-to-day work.

### Menu

You see the school admin groups: **People**, **Academics**, **Money**, and **School**.

You do **not** see:

* **Settings** (school details, academic years and terms, data exports, integrations)
* **Classes and streams** under **Classes and subjects**

**Classes and subjects** still opens. The first item you get is **Subjects**, then **Timetable** and **Calendar**.

Everything else matches the [school admin](https://github.com/KlassApp-Foundation/KlassApp/tree/main/help/admins/README.md) menu: **Students**, **Teachers and staff**, **Parents**, **Attendance**, **Exams and reports**, **Library**, **Fees**, **Unmatched payments**, **WhatsApp**, **Approvals**, and **Transport**.

Opening a settings address directly does not show the page.

### Common tasks

* Students, staff, and parents: under **People**.
* Subjects, the timetable, and the calendar: under **Classes and subjects**.
* Attendance for the school: **Attendance**.
* Exams, grading, and report cards: . The written marks guide is still a [placeholder](https://github.com/KlassApp-Foundation/KlassApp/tree/main/help/marks/README.md).
* Fees: **Fees**. **Send reminder** is on that page.
* Parent link requests: , section **Link requests**.
* Leave, parent links, lesson plans, and tasks: .

A class teacher is a different login. That person sees the teacher menu, not this one. See [Class teacher](https://github.com/KlassApp-Foundation/KlassApp/tree/main/help/teachers/class/README.md).

### Get help

School details, the academic year, and integrations belong to the school admin. Product questions: <community@klassapp.xyz>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://klassdocs.gitbook.io/klassapp-documentation/docs-site/help/head-teachers/index.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
